The α7 AI Processor Gen8 is LG’s eighth generation of intelligent processor (Alpha 7 series), designed to upscale lower resolution content to near 4K quality, with greater brightness, detail and clarity while offering improved sharpness and depth of image. In addition, it supports dynamic tone mapping functions, enhancing contrast and delivering more impressive HDR. TVs with this processor are accompanied by the AI Magic Remote, which features a motion sensor, AI button, voice control, drag & drop functions while providing access to AI Search, AI Chatbot, AI Concierge, AI Picture Wizard and AI Sound Wizard.

The processor “reads” each frame and recognizes shapes, lines, faces and objects by filling in missing image data to approach 4K clarity, while optimizing brightness and contrast by increasing brightness in the right areas and enhancing contrast for a more “vivid” image. In addition, it reduces noise, cleaning the image from blur, grain or distortion that usually appears in lower resolutions, while using dynamic tone mapping for more natural shades and realistic colors.

Unlike simple HDR10, which uses static settings for the entire movie/series, HDR10 Pro analyzes each frame individually, adjusting brightness and contrast dynamically, so that dark scenes retain details without blurring and bright scenes do not "burn in". In this way, it offers improved contrast with blacks that are deeper, and whites that are clearer, without losing intermediate shades and realistic, vibrant colors with a wider color gamut, which helps you see shades closer to reality (e.g. a sunset looks more natural). In addition, if the content is simple HDR10, the TV can "upgrade" it, applying dynamic tone mapping for a better image.

LG's AI Magic Remote is the "smart remote control" that combines traditional buttons, a motion sensor (air-mouse) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to make navigation faster and more natural. It works like an air mouse with an on-screen cursor for easy navigation, supports voice commands & AI Voice Recognition. You can activate AI functions for a complete experience such as AI Search for intelligent content search, AI Chatbot / Concierge for movie, series or app recommendations based on your habits, AI Picture Wizard with which it adjusts the image according to your preferences and AI Sound Wizard for automatic sound adjustment. Finally, in collaboration with AI Acoustic Tuning, it uses the Magic Remote's microphone to "measure" the acoustics of the room and adjust the sound accordingly.
